1.1.3. Gear belt

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a pulley of a cranked shaft, a pulley of the water pump and a driving belt.
2. Remove a casing of a gear belt.

3. Turn a cranked shaft clockwise and combine adjusting labels that the piston in the first cylinder was established in the top dead point in a compression step. At this time adjusting labels of a pulley of a camshaft and a cover of a head of the block of cylinders should be combined, and the adjusting pin of a pulley of a camshaft should be above. Remove a natyazhitel of a gear belt.

Rotate a cranked shaft only clockwise.

4. Remove a gear belt.

Note the direction of rotation of a gear belt for repeated installation it in initial situation.

5. Remove a camshaft pulley.

Be careful not to damage a wrench a head of the block of cylinders.

6. Before an otvorachivaniye of nuts of fastening of a pulley of the oil pump, at first remove a cap on the left side of the block of cylinders and into an opening insert a screw-driver to block the left balancing shaft in a starting position. The screw-driver used for this purpose should have a core in diameter of 8 mm which can be inserted on depth more than 60 mm.

7. Unscrew a lock nut of fastening of a pulley of the oil pump and remove a pulley.

8. Weaken a bolt of fastening of a pulley of the right balancing shaft until it cannot be unscrewed manually.

9. Remove the mechanism of a tension of "B" and a gear belt "B".

After removal of a gear belt "B", do not do attempt to weaken a bolt of fastening of a pulley by flat-nose pliers.

10. Remove a pulley of a cranked shaft of "B" from a cranked shaft.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check pulleys of distributive and cranked shaft, a pulley of the mechanism of a tension and a single pulley on lack of non-uniform wear, cracks and damages. Replace them as required.
2. Check ease and smoothness of rotation of a pulley of the mechanism of a tension and a single pulley, and also absence of extraneous noise at rotation. Replace them as required.

3. Replace pulleys if there is a leakage of lubricant.

Natyazhitel

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check a natyazhitel on absence of leaks and replace as required.

2. Check a tip of a natyazhitel on existence of wear or damages and replace as required.

3. To measure a core vystupaniye. If its vystupaniye does not correspond to the specification, replace a natyazhitel.

Vystupaniye of a core of a natyazhitel: 14 mm

4. A vice with soft sponges press a core in a natyazhitel. If the core is pressed easily, replace a natyazhitel.

Vice press a core in a natyazhitel so that his end face was combined with an end face of a natyazhitel. Use a vice with soft sponges for an exception of damage of a natyazhitel.

Gear belt

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check a gear belt on lack of traces of oil, water or a dust. If it is necessary replace a belt. Insignificant traces should be wiped by a dry fabric or paper. Do not clean a gear belt solvent.

2. After engine or adjustment repair a belt tension, check a belt condition. In the presence of the following defects, replace a gear belt.


Description

Defect

1. Rigid return surface of a gear belt

The surface has a glossy appearance. Rigidity of a surface such is that a nail does not leave traces on a belt
2. Cracks on a return surface of a gear belt
3. Cracks or stratification of a gear belt


4. Strongly worn-out teeths

The tooth party is worn-out, fibers, a cord and the rubber basis become thus visible

5. Strongly worn-out teeths (the last stage)

The tooth party is worn-out, attritions become thus visible and the thickness of tooth is reduced

8. Strong wear of one party of a belt

The normal belt should have an equal lateral end face, as though cut off by a sharp knife.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish a pulley of a cranked shaft of "B" on a cranked shaft.

Special attention turn on the direction of installation of a ledge. If the pulley is established incorrectly, it will lead to damage of a gear belt.

 

2. Grease with a thin layer of engine oil an external surface of the rasporny plug and then establish it on the right balancing shaft, as is shown in drawing.

3. Establish a pulley on the right balancing shaft and fix it a bolt.

4. Level an adjusting label on each pulley with the corresponding adjusting label on a forward case.

5. After installation of a gear belt "B" be convinced that on the party of a tension there is no sagging.

  • Combine the mechanism of a tension of a belt "B" with the center of the pulley located on the left side of an assembly bolt and with a ledge of a pulley, directed to the forward party of the engine.
  • Combine an adjusting label on a pulley of the right balancing shaft with an adjusting label on a forward case.

6. Lift the mechanism of a tension of "B" to pull a gear belt of a drive of "B" so that the party of its tension was well tense. In this condition tighten a bolt of fastening of the mechanism of a tension of "B". When a bolt will tighten, it interferes with a shaft to turn together. If the shaft is turned together, the belt will be drawn.

7. Be convinced that adjusting labels are on one line.

8. Be convinced that after pressing the belt center on the tension party in the arrow direction, sagging of a belt is in specification limits.

Belt sagging: 5–7 mm

9. Establish a flange and a pulley of a cranked shaft on a cranked shaft. Be convinced that established in the direction as is shown in drawing.

Pay attention to the direction of installation of a flange. If the flange is established incorrectly, it will lead to damage of a gear belt.

10. To establish a special washer and screw a bolt of fastening of a pulley to a cranked shaft and then tighten a bolt.

Inhaling moment: 110–130 N • m

11. Insert a screw-driver into a through opening under a cap to block the left balancing shaft in a starting position.

12. Establish a pulley of the oil pump and fix a nut.

13. Establish a pulley of a camshaft and fix a bolt, having tightened it the moment of the inhaling given in the specification.

Inhaling moment: 80–100 N • m

14. Establish a natyazhitel.

Take a wire blocking a core of a natyazhitel.

If the core of a natyazhitel is in the issued situation, repeated installation it execute as follows.

  1. Fix a natyazhitel in a vice with soft sponges. If necessary under the basis of a natyazhitel enclose a washer.
  2. Vice press a core in a natyazhitel so that the opening And in a core was combined with an opening In in the case of a natyazhitel. Insert into the combined openings a piece of a steel wire.

15. Establish a pulley of the mechanism of a tension on the lever of the mechanism of a tension.

Take a wire blocking a core of a natyazhitel.

16. After installation of the sensor of provision of a cranked shaft, correctly combine an adjusting label of a pulley.
  1. Before installation of a gear belt if adjusting labels of a pulley and a cover of a head of cylinders do not coincide, do not rotate a pulley in any direction more than on 2 teeth of a pulley.
  2. Pulley turn more than on 2 teeth can lead to collision of pistons with valves.
  3. In case of pulley rotation it is more than on 2 teeth, rotate a pulley after turn of a pulley of a cranked shaft from situation VMT.

17. Combine adjusting labels of a pulley of a cranked shaft.

18. Combine adjusting labels of a pulley of the oil pump.

19. Establish a gear belt on a pulley of the mechanism of a tension and a pulley of a cranked shaft. Then the left hand put on a gear belt a pulley of the mechanism of a tension.
20. The right hand put on a gear belt a pulley of the oil pump.
21. Establish a gear belt round a single pulley.
22. Establish a gear belt round a pulley of a camshaft of the managing director of inlet valves.
23. Turn a pulley of a camshaft of the managing director of final valves on one tooth clockwise to level its adjusting label with a surface of the top part of a head of the block of cylinders. Pulling a belt with both hands, establish it round a pulley of a camshaft of the managing director of final valves.
24. Softly lift a pulley of the mechanism of a tension as shown an arrow so that the belt did not sag, and temporarily tighten the central bolt.

25. Check combination of adjusting labels.

26. Take a wire blocking a core of a natyazhitel.

27. Turn a cranked shaft two complete revolutions clockwise and leave the engine for 15 minutes. Then will measure a vystupaniye of a core of a natyazhitel of "A" (distance between the lever of the mechanism of a tension and the case of a natyazhitel) and be convinced that it corresponds to the specification.

Vystupaniye of a core of a natyazhitel: 6–8 mm

28. Establish the bottom and top casings of a gear belt.
