12.14. Support of a forward brake

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a wheel.

2. Turn out a hollow bolt and disconnect from a support a brake hose. For an exception of an effluence of brake liquid close an opening in a brake hose a suitable stopper.

3. Turn out two bolts and remove a support with the brake cylinder.

Dismantling

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Twist directing fingers and remove a support from the holder.

2. A screw-driver with a direct sting remove a ring of a dustproof cover of the piston.

3. Remove a piston cover.

4. The compressed air squeeze out the piston from the support cylinder.

At piston expression by the compressed air have no fingers in front of the piston.

5. An edge of a screw-driver remove a sealing ring from the piston, thus do not damage a cylinder surface.

6. Clear brake liquid an external surface of the piston and an internal surface of the cylinder.

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check the support cylinder on lack of wear, damages, cracks and a rust.
2. Check the piston on lack of a rust, damages, cracks and wear of an external surface.
3. Check the plug and directing finger on absence of damages and a rust.
4. Check brake shoes on absence of deformation, a raid of metal and oil traces.
5. Check the wear indicator on lack of wear and damages.

6. Measure thickness of a brake disk. By the indicator of hour type measure palpation of a brake disk at small distance from external edge.

Thickness of a brake disk:

  • The nominal: 24 mm
  • The minimum admissible: 22,4 mm
  • Maximum permissible palpation: 0,08 mm.
  • Maximum permissible difference of thickness of a brake disk: 0,01 mm

7. If necessary, replace a brake disk.

  1. Lift the car and fix it on support.
  2. Remove a wheel.
  3. Remove a support and fix it a wire.
  4. Remove a forward brake disk.

Check of a brake disk

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Turn out bolts of fastening of a support, lift a support up and fix it a wire.

2. Slowly turning a brake disk, visually check its condition from two parties. Wear of a brake disk from blocks should be in admissible limits. If there are cracks on a disk, the disk is subject to replacement.

3. The indicator of hour type check palpation of a brake disk. The indicator of hour type fix in any convenient place and, turning a brake disk, define its palpation at distance of 5 mm from external edge.

Maximum permissible palpation: 0,05 mm.

Tighten nuts of fastening of a wheel to fix a brake disk on a nave.

Correction of palpation of a brake disk

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. If palpation of a brake disk exceeds maximum permissible value, change the provision of a disk in relation to a nave and repeatedly measure palpation of a brake disk.

  1. Before shift of a brake disk, note the party of a nave of a wheel in which the maximum palpation is observed.
  2. Remove a brake disk, then establish the indicator of hour type as is shown in drawing, move a nave to the axial direction and will measure люфт.
    Maximum permissible люфт: 0,05 mm
    If люфт exceeds maximum permissible, check each element of a suspension bracket.
  3. If люфт does not exceed maximum permissible value, establish a brake disk in the situation turned on 180 ° from a label and repeatedly measure palpation of a brake disk.

2. If palpation cannot be eliminated with shift of a brake disk, replace a brake disk or process it on the special machine (" MAD, DL–8700 PF" or equivalent). The processed brake disks a part have smaller palpation, than new brake disks.

Check of thickness of a brake disk

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. By a micrometer measure thickness of a disk in eight places, approximately through everyone 45 ° at distance of 10 mm from external edge of a disk.

Thickness of a brake disk:

  • The nominal: 24 mm
  • The minimum admissible: 22,4 mm
  • Maximum permissible difference of thickness of a brake disk (in 8 places): 0,015 mm

2. If thickness of a brake disk of less maximum permissible, replace a brake disk.

Assembly

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Clear all details isopropyl alcohol, except for brake shoes.

2. Put special greasing on a sealing ring of the piston and establish it in a piston flute.

3. Grease an external surface of the piston and establish it in the support cylinder.

4. Establish a cover of the piston and a ring of fastening of a cover.

5. Establish covers of directing fingers and directing fingers.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish brake shoes and a support.

2. Screw and tighten the demanded moment of an inhaling a hollow bolt of fastening of a brake hose.

Moments of an inhaling of the union of pumping: 7–13 N • m

3. Fill in in a tank brake liquid.
4. Remove air from a hydraulic drive of brake system. Several times press a pedal of a brake and check absence of leakage of brake liquid.
