14.12. Compressor noise

At check of central air of air on noise existence, at first it is necessary to define conditions of emergence of noise. These conditions are weather, speed of the car, car movement with the included transfer or nakaty, temperature of cooling liquid or other special conditions. The noise heard at work of central air of air can arise in other knots and car units. For example: sounds similar the published forward bearing or rods can be caused by not tightened carving connections weakened by arms or the wrong assembly of coupling. Check a tension of a belt of a drive of hinged units (a steering drive with the amplifier, the generator or the compressor). The wrong tension of a belt can cause misleading noise when the compressor works also absence of noise at switching off of the coupling of the compressor. Driving belts at various frequencies of rotation of the engine and depending on a belt tension, can publish unusual noise which often are accepted to mechanical damages to the compressor.

Adjustment

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Choose a silent platform for carrying out tests. Several times switch on and off the compressor to define compressor noise.
2. Tighten all bolts of fastening of the compressor of the conditioner and adjust a tension of a driving belt of the compressor. Check reliability of fastening of the coil of the coupling (there should be no a rotation or fluctuation).
3. Check cooling hoses on lack of a friction or люфта which can lead to abnormal noise.
4. Check quantity of a coolant.
5. Recheck noise from the compressor according to a step 1.
6. If noise is present, weaken bolts of fastening of the compressor and repeatedly tighten them the inhaling moment, given in the specification. Repeat a step 1.
7. If noise is not eliminated, replace the compressor and repeat a step 1.
