14.13. Check and adjustment of a tension of poliklinovy belts

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check a condition of a poliklinovy belt and its arrangement on pulleys.

Check correctness of an arrangement of edges of a poliklinovy belt in flutes of pulleys.

If at work poliklinovy the belt publishes extraneous noise, check a belt on lack of wear and damages, and also working surfaces of pulleys. Also check the deflection of a belt defining its tension.

2. By the special device measure a tension of a driving belt. In the absence of the special device check a belt tension, having pressed on it effort of 100 N in a place located on identical removal from pulleys and measure a belt deflection.

When the new belt is established, regulate a tension to the average value given in the column "New".

At adjustment of a tension of the belt which was in the use or the belt which has worked on the engine more than 5 mines it is necessary to regulate its tension to the average value given in a column "Being in the use".

At periodic surveys it is necessary to be guided by the column "Check".

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Weaken a bolt of "A" of fixing of a bolt of adjustment of a tension.
2. Rotating an adjusting bolt of "B", adjust a belt tension.
3. Tighten a bolt "And" fixings of a bolt of adjustment of a tension.

4. Check a tension of a belt and, if necessary, repeat adjustment.

Before repeated check of a tension of a belt, turn on some turns a cranked shaft of the engine.

Engine of V6 2,5 l

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. If the indicator of the mechanism of a tension of a belt leaves for a label of the maximum tension, replace a driving belt.

2. At replacement of a driving belt, the indicator of the mechanism of a tension should be between MAX and MIN labels.

Tension measurement by the special device of type A

  1. At measurement of a tension of a poliklinovy belt the device should not concern other elements of the engine.

Tension measurement by the special device of type B

  1. At measurement be convinced that turned the button of repeated installation in the arrow direction to establish an arrow of the device in an initial condition.
  2. After removal of the device from a belt of the shooter of the device will still specify a belt tension.
