15.13. Removal and starter installation

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery.
2. Disconnect a cable of a drive of a speedometer.
3. Disconnect from a starter the socket and a wire from the plug.
4. Turn out bolts and remove a starter.
5. Installation is carried out to sequences, return to removal.

Check and replacement of elements of a stator

Adjustment of a gap of a gear wheel

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a wire from the plug M.
2. Additional wires connect plugs of the storage battery to plugs S and M.

3. Include ignition, thus a gear wheel of a starter it will be pushed forward.

This check is necessary for executing during 10 with as the coil of the traction relay, otherwise, can fuse.

4. Shchup check a gap between a gear wheel and a stopper.

Gear wheel gap: 0,5–0,2 mm

5. If the gap differs from demanded, adjust it, adding or cleaning laying between the traction relay and a forward cover.

3. If the gear wheel moves and remains on a place means everything is all right. If the gear wheel repeatedly moves forward-back, means, the holding winding of the traction relay is damaged and, it is necessary to replace the traction relay.

Operational tests (idling)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Fix a starter in a vice and collect the scheme shown in drawing.

2. Connect the ampermeter (with a limit of measurement 100 And) and a coal rheostat as is shown in drawing.
3. Connect the voltmeter with a limit of measurement of 0-15 Century.
4. Turn a rheostat cursor in position of the maximum resistance.
5. Connect a wire from the negative plug of the battery to the starter case.
6. Establish a rheostat cursor in such situation at which the voltmeter will show tension of 11,0 Century.
7. Check a current consumed by a starter, and be convinced that the shaft of a starter is turned easily and smoothly.

Current: no more than 90 And
Frequency of rotation: 3000 mines-1

Check of a holding winding of the traction relay

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a wire from the plug M.

2. Additional wires connect plugs of the storage battery to the plug M and the case of the traction relay.

This check is necessary for executing during 10 with as the coil of the traction relay, otherwise, can fuse.

3. If the gear wheel remains put forward, means, everything is all right. If the gear wheel returns back to a starting position, means, the holding winding of the traction relay is damaged and, it is necessary to replace the traction relay.

Collector check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish a rotor on the V-shaped blocks and, the indicator of hour type, check collector palpation. If palpation exceeds maximum permissible value, pierce a collector or replace a rotor.

  • Nominal palpation: 0,05 mm
  • Maximum permissible palpation: 0,1 mm

2. Measure diameter of a collector. If diameter less than the demanded size, replace a rotor.

  • Diameter of a collector: 29,4 mm
  • Minimum admissible diameter of a collector: 28,4 mm

3. Measure depth of flutes between contact plates of a collector If depth less maximum permissible size, replace a rotor.

  • Nominal depth; 0,5 mm
  • Minimum admissible depth: 0,2 mm

Check of a shchetkoderzhatel

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Ohmmeter check conductivity between each isolated brush and a plate. In the presence of conductivity, replace a shchetkoderzhatel.

Check of the obgonny coupling

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Turn a gear wheel. The gear wheel should be turned freely clockwise and be blocked at a provorachivaniye counter-clockwise

2. Check a condition of teeths of a gear wheel of the obgonny coupling and, in the presence of damages, replace it. Also check a condition of teeths of a gear wreath of a flywheel.

Installation of a persistent ring and spring ring

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Establish a persistent ring and a spring ring from the forward party of a shaft of a rotor then move a persistent ring completely to a spring ring.

Cleaning of details of a starter

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Do not immerse a starter detail in solvent. Immersion in solvent of the traction relay, a stator and/or a rotor will damage isolation of wires. These details only wipe pure rags.
2. Do not wash out in solvent the obgonny coupling as from it greasing will be washed up.
3. The Obgonny coupling can be cleared by a brush with being cleared solvent and is wiped by pure rags.

Replacement of brushes

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The brushes worn out to the line of limiting wear or impregnated with oil, should be replaced.

2. At replacement of brushes of a winding of excitement пассатижами break a worn-out brush, thus be careful not to damage a wattled wire.
3. An emery paper smooth out the end of a wattled occasion to provide reliable contact it with a new brush.

4. Insert a wattled wire into an opening of a brush and solder it. Be convinced that the wattled wire and superfluous solder do not leave on a brush surface.

Gear wheel with the obgonny coupling
