5.36. Fuel tank


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Start up the engine and leave it to work till a stop connected with lack of fuel in the distributive fuel highway. As a result of the executed actions pressure in fuel system is removed.

For an exception of a razbryzgivaniye of fuel close a place of separation of fuel system pure rags and, being careful, smoothly separate pipelines.

2. Disconnect a weight wire from the storage battery.

3. Uncover a bulk mouth of a fuel tank.

4. Turn out a drain stopper and merge fuel.

5. Disconnect a hose of system of catching паров fuels and a hose of return of fuel.

6. Disconnect the socket from the fuel level sensor.

7. Disconnect a pressure head hose from a fuel tank.

8. Support a fuel tank a jack, unscrew two самоконтрящиеся nuts and remove tapes of fastening of a fuel tank.

9. Disconnect a bulk hose and a wide hose from the basis of a bulk hose.

10. Remove a hose of system of catching паров fuels and a fuel tank.

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check hoses and pipes on lack of cracks, an excess, deformation, aging and a contamination.
2. Check functioning of a cover of a jellied mouth of a fuel tank.
3. Clear a tank and check it on existence of traces of a rust, damages and cracks. Damaged or treated it is necessary for corrosion action to replace a fuel tank.
4. Check an internal surface of a fuel tank on existence of pollution.
5. Check the fuel filter on lack of a contamination or damages.
6. Check operability of the limiter of overflow (the double-thread valve).
7. Check operability of the double-thread valve, blowing it from two parties.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Connect compensating hose to a mouth of a fuel tank, having pulled it approximately over 40 mm.

2. At connection of a hose of a filler it is necessary to connect the end with shorter direct pipe.

3. Establish a fuel tank and fix it tapes while it will not concern the car bottom.

4. Connect a hose of system of catching паров fuels and a returnable hose. Attach a hose of supply of fuel as is shown in drawing.

5. For connection of a pressure head hose with the fuel pump, temporarily tighten cap nuts by hand, then tighten them the moment of the inhaling recommended by the specification.

Inhaling moment: 30–40 N • m

At a tightening of nuts be careful not to bend or to overwind a tube and to avoid damage of the fuel pump.

6. Connect sockets of the electric fuel pump and the level sensor.

7. Tighten a drain stopper the moment of the inhaling recommended by the specification.

Inhaling moment: 15–25 N • m
