6.5. Ignition lock

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a "weight" wire from the storage battery.

2. Remove a safety cushion from a steering wheel.

The system of safety (SRS) is developed so that to keep energy for safety cushion deployment within 30 seconds even after the battery was disconnected. Therefore if to begin safety cushion service at once after a detachment of the battery, probably inadvertent deployment of a safety cushion which can put injuries.

3. Turn out the self-cutting screw and remove the button of a sound signal.
4. Unscrew a nut and remove a washer of fastening of a steering wheel.
5. Having pulled on itself also remove a dynamic damper.

6. Establish the special tool (09561-11001) and remove a steering wheel.

For removal of a steering wheel do not knock on it.

7. Remove the bottom and top casings of a steering column.

8. Remove the bottom cover.
9. Disconnect sockets and remove the multipurpose switch.

10. Turn out assembly bolts and separate the ignition lock from a steering column.

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect the socket located under a steering column.
2. Check conductivity between plugs of the socket of the lock of ignition.

3. If the continuity does not correspond given, replace the ignition lock.

  • RO: An exit of a blocking core
  • RE: Return of a blocking core
  • L: It is blocked
  • F: Freely

If the starter does not turn a cranked shaft of the engine, be convinced that the lever of the selector is established in the situation PARK or NEUTRAL. If this condition is carried out only in one position of the lever of the selector, but not in the friend, the most probable cause – damage of the switch of ranges of a transmission.
