8.2.3. Liquid replacement in an automatic transmission

If liquid replacement in the hydrotransformer is carried out, also replace liquid in a transmission. If liquid replacement in the hydrotransformer is not carried out, replace liquid in a transmission as follows.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a hose which connects a transmission and an oil radiator (from a radiator).
2. Start the engine and merge liquid.

Condition: the engine should idle and the lever of the selector should be established in situation N.

At performance of this action, the engine should be switched off within 1 minute. If all liquid is merged earlier, than within 1 minute, the engine should be stopped during this moment.

3. Turn out a drain stopper from the basis of a case of a transmission and merge liquid.
4. Replace oil filters.
5. Establish a drain stopper with laying and tighten the moment given in the specification.

Inhaling moment: 32 N • m

6. Fill in necessary amount of demanded liquid.

Stop liquid filling if the demanded quantity cannot be filled in in a transmission.

7. Repeat procedure according to a step 2.

Check old liquid on existence of pollution. If liquid is polluted, repeat steps (6) and (7).

8. Fill in necessary amount of demanded liquid.
9. Connect a hose which was disconnected in a step (1) and reliably insert щуп for level measurement.
10. Start the engine and leave it to work within 1–2 minutes in an idling mode.
11. At the working engine move the selector lever from situation N to all provisions and back in situation N.
12. Make a trip before transmission warming up to temperature 70–80°C. Park the car on an equal horizontal surface. Check level of liquid which should be between HOT labels. If necessary, add necessary amount of demanded liquid.
13. Reliably insert щуп for level measurement.
