8.2.8. Check of components of an automatic transmission

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check of the sensor of provision of a butterfly valve

  • Disconnect the socket from the sensor of provision of a butterfly valve.
  • Measure resistance between socket plugs 1 and 4 from the sensor of provision of a butterfly valve.
    Resistance: 3,5–6,5 kiloohms
  • Measure resistance between socket plugs 2 and 4 from the sensor of provision of a butterfly valve.

    Normal state:
    If the butterfly valve slowly opens from a starting position before completely open situation, resistance should change smoothly according to a corner of opening of a butterfly valve.
  • If resistance differs or does not change smoothly, replace the sensor of provision of a butterfly valve.

2. Check of the sensor of temperature of oil

  • Remove the sensor of temperature of oil.
  • Measure resistance between plugs 1 and 2 of the socket of the sensor.

Resistance:

  • 16,7–20,5 kiloohms at 0 ° C
  • 0,57–0,69 kiloohms at 100 ° C

3. Check of the sensor of speed of the car

  • Remove the sensor of speed of the car and connect resistance of 3-10 kiloohms as is shown in drawing.
  • Turn a shaft of the sensor of speed of the car and check that there is a tension between plugs 2 and 3 (1 turn = 4 impulses).

4. Check of the relay of management of A/T

  • Remove the relay of management of A/T.
  • Crossing points connect the plug (2) of the A/T relay of management to the negative (–) the plug of the battery and the plug (4) relays of management with positive (+) the battery plug.
  • Check conductivity between the plug (1) and the plug (3) relays of management of A/T when crossing points are connected and disconnected from the battery.
    At connection of crossing points between plugs of the relay there should be a conductivity.
    At a detachment of crossing points between plugs of the relay there should not be a conductivity.
  • If results of check negative, replace the relay.

5. Check of the solenoidal valve

  • Uncover valve cases.
  • Disconnect sockets from each solenoidal valve.
  • Measure resistance between plugs 1 and 2 of each solenoidal valve.

Resistance:

  • Solenoidal valve of coupling of the shock-absorber: 2,7–3,4 Ohm at 20°С
  • Solenoidal valve of low transfer and backing transfer: 2,7–3,4 Ohm at 20°С
  • Solenoidal valve of the second transfer: 2,7–3,4 Ohm at 20°С
  • The solenoidal valve of lowering transfer: 2,7–3,4 Ohm at 20°С
  • The solenoidal valve of raising transfer: 2,7–3,4 Ohm at 20°С

If resistance of the valve differs, replace the solenoidal valve.
